If your passion isn’t represented by an existing activity, it’s easy to establish a new group.

In order to do so, you must meet the criteria below:

  1. Determine who will function as POC. The POC is responsible for answering inquiries, setting up the club’s structure, and serving as the liaison for the @Moody website.
  2. Determine the club’s focus.
  3. Determine a name (e.g. Flying Tiger Gaming vs Thespian Club – both equally valid).
  4. Write a brief description (a few sentences) explaining the interests, activities, information, and what the club stands for.

Restricted activities include:

  1. Activities that are self-defeating by their own nature.
  2. Activities that address protected categories.
  3. Activities that are orientated toward self-benefit or financial gain.

Once approved, you may determine how you want to carry out the club’s activities according to your own judgment. A few examples: if you would like to establish a hierarchy of leadership within your club, if you would like to meet a certain number of times per month, or the establishment of social media accounts (managed by your members not the @Moody Committee).

@Moody interest groups and clubs may not fundraise through official Moody AFB events. Should you desire to raise money for your club through official revenue systems, you must go through the appropriate process to establish an official private organization. From there, you can raise money for the express purpose of donating it to your club.

CIA @Moody is a Wing-level initiative designed to establish connections among Airmen of all ages, and provides a fun way to meet others who share the same interest. The Airmen band together to form Interest Groups, Activities, or Clubs.

Events that would be organized through this club would include:

  • Car Shows
  • Organized race events at local tracks
  • General “Gearhead” camaraderie

Depending on club participation; a reoccurring competition to determine who has the quickest vehicle on Moody would also be held. All vehicle makes and models will be accepted. The honorary title of Moody’s Fastest could then be displayed in the winner’s vehicle until the next Club Sponsored race event.

Club members would be limited to active duty, veterans and dependents here in the local area. If you want to join a group of racers and gearheads all striving to become the fastest at Moody. Please contact me.

Motorcycle Club 1

Club Name: Green Knights, Chapter 81

POC: Capt Scott Randle
A1C Coby Botkin

Description: Addressing the needs and concerns of military and DoD civilian riders, through education, safety knowledge, and the shared joy of riding.
The Green Knights Military Motorcycle Club™ is a 501(c)(3) organization that was formed back in late 1999 and formally recognized in early 2000 at McGuire AFB, New Jersey. It was the idea of Adam Buehler to organize base motorcyclists for activities and to bring awareness to DoD riders and to individuals who do not ride. With the aid of the base MSF instructor, Jeff Richards, they were about to embark on a journey that they could have never imagined.

The two set out to organize and create a club where riders can get together, discuss issues of the base, fight for biker rights, help each other, participate in charity events, and enjoy going on rides. Most of all, enjoy the ride and the shared common interest. After gathering up a handful of riders from the base, they were able to form the first chapter of the Green Knights at McGuire AFB, NJ. It was a start of a slowly growing trend that has erupted into not just the Air Force but across the board of the military. Our by-laws, policies, and mentor ship outlines have become the basis of the AF current policy to have a motorcycle club on every base. Currently there are 136 chapters world wide in the U.S. AF, Army, Navy at active, reserve, and guard bases. There are even some international allies such as the Royal Air Force, Irish Defense Force, Belgium military, Canadian Forces of Canada, and the Croatian Armed Forces. or

Motorcycle Club 2

Club Name: Patriot Guard Riders

POC: MSgt Scott Long

Description: The Patriot Guard Riders is a diverse amalgamation of riders from across the nation. We have one thing in common besides motorcycles. We have an unwavering respect for those who risk their very lives for America’s freedom and security including Fallen Military Heroes, First Responders and honorably discharged Veterans. If you share this respect, please join us.

We don’t care what you ride or if you ride, what your political views are, or whether you’re a hawk or a dove. It is not a requirement that you be a veteran. It doesn’t matter where you’re from or what your income is; you don’t even have to ride. The only prerequisite is Respect.

Our main mission is to attend the funeral services of fallen American heroes as invited guests of the family. Each mission we undertake has two basic objectives:
1. Show our sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities.
2. Shield the mourning family and their friends from interruptions created by any protester or group of protesters.
We accomplish the latter through strictly legal and non-violent means.

To those of you who are currently serving and fighting for the freedoms of others, at home and abroad, please know that we are backing you. We honor and support you with every mission we carry out, and we are praying for a safe return home for all.
